International WIE Day 2024
The Women in Engineering (WIE) Day Celebration 2024 organized by the IEEE Women In Engineering Sri Lanka Section held on June 29th at the IIT Premises. The event brought together engineers, industry leaders, and advocates to honor the remarkable contributions of women in the engineering field. This year’s celebration was filled with inspiring speeches, engaging panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and vibrant networking opportunities.
International WIE Day 2023
The IEEE Women in Engineering Sri Lanka Section hosts an annual celebration aligned with the International Women in Engineering Day. In 2023, under the theme “Empowering Work-Life Balance for Women Engineers”, the celebration was held at the Dialog Auditorium with a large gathering of industry experts, academics and IEEE and IEEE WIE members, where it paid tribute to remarkable Sri Lankan women in STEM.
