IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch
Affinity Group of UCSC

The IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) was initiated with the goal of improving the women’s contribution towards computing and engineering while empowering the women of all spheres in the society to shape their careers and stand high in their respected fields. 

 

Throughout the last few years, the UCSC WIE group has worked continuously to enhance the skills and innovativeness of female undergraduates in Sri Lanka. The group has organized many workshops and competitions to support school girls and female undergraduates to build a bridge to the software and IT industry. The UCSC WIE team also supports participants to understand their own skills and capabilities and widen their perspective.

To improve the participation of women in the field of engineering and empower women in their respected fields.
